  1. Commercial scale Plug Flow Reactor (PFR) and Photo Flow Reactors to deliver precise, high‑efficiency reactions designed for speed and consistency in continuous mode
  2. Carbon cartridge treatment in place of carbon powder for cleaner and quicker processes that delivers high quality product
  3. Static mixers that ensure precise blending of liquid streams to reduced variability and pump homogeneous liquid throughput
  4. Advanced milling technologies such as wet milling and pin milling uses high‑energy milling technique to achieve precise particle‑size reduction that enhances dispersion, uniformity, and downstream performance
  5. Wi-fi enabled operating automation systems with portable tablets to operate and monitor process parameters, Realtime quality data verification, warehouse material management
  6. Reactors are equipped with auto-sampling to take desired quantity of samples in contained manner and to avoid personal and ambient exposure

What types of reactors and equipment are available in your facilities?

Sai Life Sciences’ facilities are equipped with a wide range of reactors and specialized equipment to support diverse chemistries and scales. They include glass-lined, stainless steel, and Hastelloy reactors ranging from lab scale (100 mL) to commercial scale (up to 12.5 KL), capable of handling cryogenic conditions down to –100 °C and high-pressure hydrogenations up to 50 bar. Additional technologies include flow reactors for continuous processing, autoclaves, parallel synthesizers, short-path distillation, lyophilization suites, air jet mills, wet mill, Tangential Flow Filtration and crystallization control setups. These assets enable safe, scalable, and efficient development for complex APIs and HPAPIs. 

Do you support continuous flow chemistry and advanced reactor design?

Yes, Sai Life Sciences supports continuous flow chemistry and advanced reactor design to enhance safety, scalability, and efficiency. Their flow chemistry suite includes Vapourtec tubular reactors (2–10 mL), cryo reactors, coiled reactors (5–500 mL), and Agitated Cell Reactors capable of handling slurries, immiscible liquids, and gas-liquid mixtures under conditions up to 10 bar and –40 °C to +140 °C, commercial scale 3L Photo flow reactor and 4L Plug Flow Reactors. These systems enable hazardous and highly exothermic reactions with superior heat transfer and automation. End-to-end continuous processing options, including extraction, distillation, and drying, ensure faster, cleaner, and cost-effective scale-up from lab to pilot plant. Convectional batch processes have been getting replaced with advanced and automated Continuous Liquid-Liquid Extraction columns, Falling Film Evaporators, Agitated Thin Film Evaporators, Continuous Plug Flow Crystallisers, Continuous filters and dryers.  

What automation and control systems are implemented in your labs and plants?

Sai Life Sciences implements advanced automation and control systems across its labs and manufacturing plants to ensure precision, safety, and efficiency. Key systems include automated parallel synthesizers, EasyMax™ reactors, and Crystal16™ platforms for process optimization. Real-time monitoring is enabled through PAT tools like FBRM, PVM, and Blaze, integrated with digital data capture for seamless documentation. In manufacturing, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems and programmable logic controllers (PLC) manage critical operations, while simulation tools such as Dynochem and AspenOne support scale-up and risk analysis. These technologies enable robust, compliant, and data-driven operations from lab to commercial scale.
